• Messages sent in hangout chats and direct messages
• Hangout details you create or join
• Ratings and reviews you submit

Information collected automatically:

• Location (only while using the app, to show nearby hangouts)
• Device information and push notification tokens

How We Use Your Information

• Show you hangouts near your location
• Connect you with other users for in-person meetups
• Send push notifications for messages and join requests
• Display your profile to other users
• Calculate trust scores based on peer ratings
• Improve the app and ensure safety

Information Shared With Others

• Your profile (name, photo, bio, interests, trust score) is visible to other users
• Messages are visible to hangout participants or the person you're messaging
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase. We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which permanently removes your data.

Your Choices

• Location: You can disable location access in your device settings at any time
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings
• Account deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from within the app

Children's Privacy

Social IRL is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app.
